Sónar is the International Festival of Advanced Music and Congress of Technology and Creativity, celebrated during three days every June in Barcelona. Created in 1994, Sónar is a pioneering cultural event with a unique format and content. It's first class reputation as a leading reference for international festivals is thanks to it's attention in curation, combining a playful nature, the avant-garde, and experimentation with newest trends in dance and electronic music. For the first time, Sónar İstanbul will meet its audience in Turkey in collaboration with Charm Music and, İstanbul’s the most prestigious performing arts complex, Zorlu Performing Arts Center partnership. The festival with its concerts on 4 stages, conferences, contemporary art exhibitions all over the venue, artistic and technological performances with local and foreign artists will give its audience an opportunity to have a unique festival experience. Kosmos 22.00 Patten 23.30 Ben UFO 01.45 Helena Hauff Sónar İstanbul line-up includes; Moderat , the project of Modeselektor and Apparat, two prominent figures of Berlin's electronic music scene; Róisín Murphy , the Irish pop queen who, with her solo career, has carried on the success she enjoyed at the end of 90s and the beginning of 2000s with her band Moloko; Nina Kraviz , global techno ambassador; Floating Points, German DJ and producer DJ Koze , who combines various genres such as techno, tech house, minimal techno and hip-hop; the English producer who interprets music through various genres; The Dutch electronic music duo Weval , who has left its mark on last  year with their debut album on the Kompakt label; Kode9 , the iconic dubstep producer and founder of Hyperdub; Prins Thomas , the Norwegian representative of space disco; Clark , the electronic music producer who has established himself as a prominent figure of WARP Records; Nosaj Thing, a successful musician who combines hip-hop with electronic music; HONNE ; Helena Hauff , who redefined techno and electro with her records done in one take; the English electronic soul duo that has reached huge success in a short time; HVOB , the dynamic techno duo from Austria; Tim Hecker , the Canadian musician and producer who has redefined  drone, ambient, noise, glitch and experimental electronic music, Ben UFO , the visionary name of UK's garage-bass scene, Yodashe , who brings a fresh take on experimental music with her piano,  London-based visionary duo Patten , Shackleton whose musical career started with Stalker, which would later be featured in the Best of 2004 selection of Rough Trade. Some of the local musicians on Sónar İstanbul line-up includes; Vildan Gündüz , who has a set that is heavy on minimal techno, house, tech house and techno; Style-ist , one of the most unique DJs of Turkey with his eclectic sets; Büber , who is known with his sets that feature techno, tech house and house music; Villette , the London based producer of techno and electronica; Fasitdaire, known with his programs on dinamo.fm and Radyo Babylon; Mabbas , one of the most experienced names of Turkish electronic music scene who is known with his striking techno sets; Fuchs vs Cervus , two prominent figures of Turkey's electronic music scene who will appear with their b2b sets; and Doğu Orcan , who is known with his sets that have the overtone of techno, disco and electronica sounds; will take the stage at Sónar Istanbul. will be at Zorlu PSM as a part of Sónar Istanbul! Seretan , who features songs with a minimal-synth and lo-fi aesthetic; İskeletor who represented Turkey in Red Bull Music Academy 2015, İpek Görgün with her electronic and experimental set will be at Sónar Istanbul's SonarLab by Red Bull Academy Stage. Sónar +D Sónar +D, the international conference and performance series which aims to capture the relationship between creativity & technology and to discover the digital transformations of cultural industries, will also feature esteemed conferences and events on March 24 and 25th as a part of Sónar Istanbul! The Pier, the first installment to Ali Demirel's post-apocalyptic distopia series; Shiro, the audiovisual installation of NONOTAK Studio; Rame, Francesco Tosini's project which was created by using feedback sounds of analog video; Supercodex, a follow-up to Dataplex and Test Pattern, two former albums of Japanese electronic composer and visual artist Ryoji Ikeda; Asphodel, the audiovisual performance of experimental artist Atay İlgün which relies heavily on spontaneity; Modular Ambient Live Set, a collaboration of NOHLAB's visual works and Cem + RG's energetic sets; and the exhibition of Audint, which has produced installations, recordings, performances, books and films since 1945, will all be at Sónar Istanbul at March 24th and 25th as a part of Sónar +D!
