About this concert
Wobbly Bob are here to party. Simple as that really: With a bunch of sexy tracks of their own and a smattering of ska'd up covers including Under The Sea and Ghostbusters! Their songs are awash with sarcastic cynicism and satire and the modern power rhythms behind all the choruses make for a bitchin' performance that everyone can skank and scream along to."If you don't enjoy a Wobbly Bob gig, you probably don't like fun"

Wobbly Bob Biography

Wobbly Bob are a 7-piece Rock-Ska band from West Yorkshire who have gained a significant following by jumping around a lot. Oh and there's some music too - being all about the party, Wobbly Bob insist on catchy choruses, drinking songs, 80s and 90s Pop covers, and a lot of dancing. As a local music rag once put it, "If you don't enjoy a Wobbly Bob gig, you probably don't like fun". The Bob have been featured on BBC Introducing as the 'Band of the Moment', and have supported a number of big names including The Beat, The Selecter, The Toasters, Suburban Legends and Sonic Boom Six; and they will be main support on a few dates of the Louise Distras UK tour. Having released an EP in 2007 and a party album in 2011, they will release their debut single, CONFUSION at Manchester Pride on Monday 31st August. This project has been a long time coming and will focus on a subject close to the bands' hearts: The Transgender Journey. Transgendered lead singer, Piper Dawes has been a spokesperson for the trans community for many years, so now the band feel it's time to say something important - while, of course, keeping the party very much intact. See you down the front! Frenetic, happy UK ska-pop!
