Ghost Pains Biography
In December 2012 Dave E. Martin (Slender Means/Black Whales) started playing with drummer Michael Stubz (Deadkill/Absolute Monarchs) Eventually Mica Crisp joined on guitar followed by bassist Rob Van Oss. Stubz & Mica had to leave the young version of the band in March 2013. Rob & Dave eventually found Jamie Paul Rizzo to get behind the drum kit. Fortunately, Mica rejoined the band and the Ghost Pains line-up was complete. The band began booking shows in the Seattle area and haven't stopped since. During that time they have released 2 ep's. 2014's "Stealing Tomorrow" and 2015's "Building Mountains." Rizzo left the band in March 2015 and was replaced by drummer and graphic designer Greg Franklin who play with the band until leaving in April of 2016. In May 2016 Martin's formor Slender Means bandmate, Paul Pugliese joined on drums. They have shared the stage with bands like The Young Evils, Blood Drugs, John Lee Spectre, Pure Ups, Skates, Fountains, Timbre Barons, Big Splash Champion, The Finger Guns, Estocar, Cloud Person, Great Spiders, Exohxo, The Life And Times and The Echolarks, The Purrs, Black Ferns and many more. They are currently working on their follow up to 2015's Building Mountains slated for an early 2017 release. Spirit Rock, Hard Pop, House Pop, Basement Gaze, Prog-pop??Honestly, fuck genre's! Most of us used to be in other bands...now we're in this one.
