Popeye

Popeye started his DJ training in SAE Istanbul in 2014 with the curiosity of music which has started in high school years and also with the influence of electronic music festivals which has became popular in recent years. At the same time, he studied production under the roof of UNIS Academy. In the Chill-Out festival, he worked as a stage chief assistant in Istanbul between the years of 2015-16 and Electronica Festival in 2016.

Erkan who has given significance to combine different types of music in each set he prepares, began to work as a resident dj at Mentha immediately after the trainings. He was a guest at Radio Fg's Guest Mix program and he found ample chances to perform his music in United States where he went to take language courses. Moreover, he played his music in the various silent disco events of Sound Off in California.

His passion of being DJ and studies on music in order to make a difference in the field of electronic music still continue to move to more serious dimensions. He actively takes place in the nightlife of Istanbul. Meanwhile, his program which is on Power Fm Appin continues weekly.

Erkan, lise yıllarında başlayan müzik merakıyla, ve son yıllarda oldukça popülerleşen elektronik müzik festivallerinin de etkisiyle dj’liğe yönelerek 2014 yılında SAE Istanbul’da dj’lik eğitimine başladı. Aynı esnada ise UNIS Academy çatısı altında prodüksiyon eğitimi aldı.Chill-Out festival istanbul 2015-16 ve Electronica Festival 2016'da sahne amiri asistanı olarak çalıştı.

Hazırladığı her sette mümkün olduğunca farklı müzik tarzlarını bir araya getirmeye özen gösteren Erkan, eğitimlerin hemen sonrasında Mentha’da resident dj olarak başladı.Radyo Fg’nin Guest Mix programına konuk oldu ve sonra dil eğitimi için gittiği ABD’de de zaman zaman müzik çalma fırsatı buldu.Kaliforniya’da Sound Off’un çeşitli silent disco etkinlerinde sahne alma şansı yakaladı.

DJ’lik tutkusunu, elektronik müzik alanında fark yaratmaya çalışarak daha ciddi boyutlara taşımak için müzik çalışmalarına hızla devam etmektedir.İstanbul gece hayatında aktif olarak boy gösterirken Power Fm App'ta her hafta yayınıda devam etmektedir.
