But the decision of how to respond to this claim from those who experience C4MULA is something that the southern California native deals with more frequently than he prefers. Born in Orange, CA and raised by his mother and sister after his father passed early on in his childhood, C4MULA grew to appreciate the hard work, devotion and humble perspective that has laid the foundation of a true master of his craft. Some live their whole lives searching for their identity but very early in his life C4MULA realized the gift he received. Listening to early west coast hip hop records he quickly found his voice and began studying the artistry to improve his own abilities. In an era of braggadocios mediocre glamour and glitz rappers on a mission for dollar signs it is a breath of fresh air to find a true artisan who respects the art form and all those who have worked their lives to push the quality of music to the limits day after day. C4MULA began his early education in writing, rapping, and music in Southern California, but has since traveled to New York and Philadelphia on pilgrimages to both test his own prowess and to learn the stylistic differences and roots of the east coast. Working as a writer for other artists he made his way from Flatbush to Manhattan and Germantown, PA spending his time learning from and lending to the artists he met along the way. Yielding a much more polished, precise and vigorous style C4MULA then returned home to Southern California where a blossoming underground rap scene awaited. With legendary showings in rap battles all across the area word spread quickly that C4MULA was a name to be remembered and a force to be reckoned with. Always a showman and armed with the intelligence of a scholar, wit of a stand up comedian, and fierceness of a hardened war veteran, C4MULA transitioned from a young rapper with everything to prove into an established musician with near perfect songwriting and performance abilities that are the reason so many call him the best they have ever seen.
