Hollywood Rose Biography
HollyWood Rose was a hard rock band formed in the early 80's by Izzy Stradlin. Joined by Axl Rose on lead vocals and Chris Weber on lead guitar initially, the band was known as A.X.L., before changing that to Rose, and finally HollyWood Rose
Through a few line up changes, HollyWood Rose transformed into Guns N' Roses when Tracii Guns joined on lead guitar after Chris Weber left for a while. Playing in gigs with Axl Rose, Tracii Guns, Izzy Stradlin, Ole Beich on bass, and Rob Gardner on drums. Duff McKagan soon replaced Ole Beich on bass, as well as Tracii Guns and Rob Gardner quitting the band to reform their previous band L.A. Guns. Slash and steven adler stepped in to replace them on lead guitar and drums, respectively to complete the Guns N' Roses line up.
HollyWood Rose recorded five songs for a demo which saw the light of day in 2005 with the release "The Roots of GN'R." With each track remixed by former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke (with Tracii Guns laying down guitar overdub) and former Cinderella drummer Fred Coury (who had briefly subsituted for Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler due to health issues), the release contained 15 tracks.
