Having recently released his debut EP 29 (available everywhere online), Marcus Machado has been playing the acoustic guitar since the age of one and the electric guitar since the age of two. His first performance was in kindergarten, where he played "The Wind Cries Mary" by Jimi Hendrix on a guitar synthesizer. Marcus has been called the "Young Jimi Hendrix" but he wants to be known for his original music, which contains influences of Jazz, R&B, Funk, Rap, Rock and Gospel. He has played along with greats like Buddy Miles, Robert Glasper, Marcus Miller, Ramsey Lewis, Sandra St. Victor, Zakk Wylde, Vernon Reid, Corey Glover, DJ Logic, Tony Royster, Kid Capri, Gary Hoey, and many others Marcus started playing professionally at the age of ten and soon enough he began mastering the keyboards, drums and bass. He started by playing at local clubs and charity benefits throughout Florida and eventually landed on the stage of the iconic House of Blues and City Jazz in Orlando.
