----------Nederlandstalige versie---------- Martin & Cortez, een uniek stel, geboren uit twee dj-duo’s Kong & Cortez en MRTN’RTGR! Deze twee vrienden leggen resoluut het laptopgebeuren naast zich neer en gaan volop voor de ambachtelijke wijze: CD en Vinyl. Cortez kreeg naam en faam door samen met Kong meer dan honderd keer een wekelijkse radioshow te presenteren op Fm Brussel. Hierdoor werden ze graag geziene gasten bij Redbull elektropedia, en dit op zowel Rock Werchter als Dour festival. Als resident in Nijdrop teisterde Martin, toen nog nieuw in het vak, ondertussen Opwijk en omstreken. Na een enkele keren samen de decks te delen, wisten Martin en Cortez dat deze samenwerking juist zat. Martin & Cortez nemen je mee op een muzikale droomreis van de jaren 80 tot het heden, met een krachtig alsook subtiel mengsel van house, dance, disco, hiphop, rock,... Hun platenbak staat standaard in de wagen vol met de meest funky beats! Straf in de opbouw én sterk in de afwerking! Martin & Cortez voelen als geen ander de dansvloer aan. Vrouwelijke heupen shaken spontaan bij het horen van de eerste funky beats en de mannelijke puppy’s volgen meteen met een verleidelijke paringsdans. Intussen zijn Martin & Cortez reeds een begrip geworden in en rond de Opwijkse Dance scene. Hun Concept FUIF (lees back to basics, Terug naar de essentie van een goed feestje!) in Nijdrop is uitgegroeid tot een succes met gast dj’s zoals: Freres deluxe, T. mastis, discobaar a moeder, skyve, Gunther D,… Hun motto: “No standing, only dancing!” Played at: Lokerse feesten, Redbull elektropedia, Stubru,Vooruit,Outsiderz,... Met de volgende dj's hebben we al menige party's onveilig gemaakt : Sound of stereo, Dimitri vegas & Like mike,kill frenzy ,Jan van biesen, , T.mastis, Double u Jay , TLP,LEFTO,Laston&Geo, Frères deluxe, Discobar Galaxie, Lextravaganza.Deejay Neglectik , Kong,Coely, Discobaar a moeder, Gunther D., Skyve, Murdock, TLP, ilse liebens, tomas de soete, FCL, Stavroz, Willie wartaal, Mike mago, Eelke kleijn, Station earth,... ----------English Version---------- Martin & Cortez, a unique team, was born from two dj duos Kong & Cortez and MRTN’RTGR! These two friends definitely go for the authentic style: no laptops, just CDs and Vinyl. Cortez became very popular presenting a hundred weekly radio shows on Fm Brussel, together with Kong. Their shows hit home! As a result Elektropedia engaged them and so they performed e.g. at Rock Werchter and the Dour Festival. Meanwhile, Martin continued to conquer the 0pwijk area playing as resident on the Nijdrop scene. There he had the opportunity to share the decks with Cortez. They immediately understood that working together was the right thing to do. The first chapter of the intriguing and promising musical story of Martin & Cortez had just been written! Together with MC Fenicx, they take you on a musical dreamtrip, starting in the seventees up till now. They serve a powerful and subtle cocktail of house, dance, disco, hiphop, rock, electro, dub, drum’n bass. From the beginning till the very end you will be thrilled by this extreme experience. Martin & Cortez are absolute masters of the dance floor. Female hips immediately start shaking as soon as the first funky beats are being launched, and the male puppies will undoubtedly start a seducing pairing dance.
