Lola Biography
We are LOLA.
The name, LOLA, originates from sisters MarLO and LAuren, who have been playing instruments and writing music since their pre-teen years.
While playing improvisational music 'jamming' one afternoon in 2015, the sisters realized that they had created something special, a signature sound.
From Johnny Cash to Miranda Lambert, LOLA's music resembles the voice of country music legends, helping to craft LOLA's outlaw country blues sound.
LOLA plays at venues in their hometown of Toronto, Canada, such as, The Cloak and Dagger, and The Rockpile. Since 1969, famous acts, such as Led Zeppelin, Chuck Berry, the Who, and The Grateful Dead have played at the infamous and iconic Rockpile.
In London, England, LOLA got a chance to perform at The Spice of Life, which was called the The Scots Hoose in the 60s and 70s, where Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, Bert Jansch, The Strawbs and Sandy Denny were frequent acts at the pub. During the late 70s punk rock era, The Scots Hoose was renamed, The Spice of Life, where The Sex Pistols performed.
LOLA is constantly performing at various venues around the world. Visit out concerts tab to find a show near you!
