Bent Arrows

The Austrian Singer/Songwriter duo Bent Arrows sings melancholic songs about their home by the Danube river, howling wolves and faded memories. Without being cliché-ridden or mawkish. For this, they don't need more than a guitar, harmonica and two-part singing. When they extend the primal elements of folk with glockenspiel and piano, the songs turn to elegiac hymns. With case-drum, percussion and bass, their music becomes driving Folk-Pop. Here and there, the harmonious singing reminds of Angus and Julia Stone or together with plucked guitar even of the great Simon & Garfunkel. By the end of 2014 they released their debut album "City Lights", in which the Singer/ Songwriter duo takes a look from afar at the lights of their hometown.
