Taylor Tumlinson Music Biography

Taylor Tumlinson, 26, began singing and writing at an early age, and taught herself to play the guitar at the age of 10. She won the Texas State Colgate Country Showdown in 2010, and her love for entertaining and being on stage was ignited very quickly as she opened for some of her favorite Texas artists such as The Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Jon Wolfe, and more. That same year, she traveled to Nashville to record with the support of her producer, Trey Matthews, and enjoyed her first co-writing sessions with Trey and Danny Green (known for his hit with Stapleton, Fire Away). She earned a great deal of radio play and interviews all over South Texas, and she and her local band played various venues around the Coastal Bend, including Brewster Street Icehouse. Taylor attended Texas A&M University, and after graduation, she decided to follow her heart and passion for music by making Nashville her home. She created friendships with many talented writers and musicians, co-wrote countless songs, played regularly in writers’ rounds, and learned more than she imagined possible. She returned to Texas in 2020 and is preparing to release a full record. Her soulful voice and unique lyrics draw music lovers to her live shows and sessions on social media. Taylor's voice has been described as, "mesmerizing", "fierce and soulful", and "strong with a good country sound" by various music bloggers. Her first single from the album, Hold Your Horses, will premiere in April of 2021.
