Straight Outta Luck

In the summer of 2008, Ryan and Natalie, met at Park Tavern in Denver and began talking music. What evolved into a great idea for a project, turned into a never ending search for steady members, this and Ryan’s love for GC5 supported the band taking on the moniker: Straight Outta Luck. After acquiring Dan, a long-time friend of Ryan’s, on second guitar, the trio found Erik to fill the last open position on the drums. Through trial and error, the quartet decided Ryan was the vocalist the band needed. He brought lyrics and the desire to sing to rehearsals. Gradually the other three began taking up support and background vocal responsibilities, creating full chorus and harmonies whenever possible. Most songs feature all four musicians singing at some point on the track, and the live show involve the audience on everything possible. Taking to the road whenever possible, making loops around the Midwest, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada, the group calls Denver, Colorado home, but constantly plans for the next journey. A trip to the West Coast looks probable for 2016. Opening for such renowned acts as The Misfits, The Vibrators, Stiff Little Fingers, Hudson Falcons, Agent Orange, Pinkerton Thugs, The Beltones, The Templars, Swingin’ Utters, The Infected, and sharing the stage with countless great friends from the Denver scene including The Potato Pirates, MF Ruckus, Royal Dead, King Rat, Reno Divorce, and many more. Straight Outta Luck continues to push to create the best shows for amazing fans, and support as many in the scene as possible, practicing an attitude of helping each other up and not pushing each other down. The music is the higher purpose, and the fans are the only ones who matter. They released a Self-Titled EP in 2013, and their first full length, "Burn," in 2015.
