La Inédita

Formada en el 2010 en Lima, Perú. LA INEDITA se ha posicionado en la cima de la escena independiente peruana. Explotando las múltiples influencias musicales de sus 4 integrantes, LA INEDITA ha creado su propio estilo: CHICHAMUFFIN, fusión de la Chicha (cumbia tradicional peruana), del Raggamuffin y del Dancehall con sutiles toques de Hip-Hop y otros matices. El poder de la CHICHAMUFFIN rompió fronteras desde el inicio siendo recomendado en la prensa especializada de USA, Europa, México Y Sudamérica. En el 2015 LA INEDITA participó del Festival SXSW en Austin, TX donde fue seleccionada por la organización del evento entre los 32 shows imperdibles dentro de un marco de 2000 bandas de todo el mundo. Terminando el Festival LA INEDITA realizó una gira por la costa este de USA, llevando su música a Washington DC, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, New jersey, Port Chester y Fort Lauderdale en Florida. En Agosto la banda realizó su tour debut por Europa, participó en el Festival Afrika Karibik en Alemania y Milano Latin Festival en Italia, también realizó un show en Zurich, Suiza. Este año 2016 la banda realizó una gira de 30 shows durante 50 días en USA de costa a costa y entrará al estudio a grabar lo que será su segundo álbum. What makes this band so unique is the music mix of dancehall, hip hop, rapping and Chicha (a Peruvian cumbia style). The way the band members got together was not a common way, they were not friends or neighbors as it is the case of most bands. They somehow, found out about each other’s music skills through an internet network of friends. They got together just to jam and have fun. Although, after their very first jamming session the sense of blending different music styles and come up with a music fusion was present. This is how they came up with Chichamuffin, the music style they named after they mixed the Chicha with ragamuffin. Soon enough, the band began to play in many scenarios of Barranco and Downtown Lima. The band gained a lot of recognition and love by the audience, so they have also been called to play in a variety of music festivals, college campus celebrations and so on. Therefore, La Inedita obtained the opportunity to share stage with well-known Peruvian bands, such as: La Sarita, Bareto, La Mente, Sabor y Control, Vieja Skina, etc. The band has recently released their album “Chichamuffin”, which is available to listen online as well as to download for free on their website: www.lainedita.com "One of the more impressive of these groups that has come across our radar lately has been La Inedita.
