Parlour Tricks

You could call it genre-defiance or you could call it laziness, but there's just no right way to categorize Parlour Tricks. Vocals that somehow sound like a composite of the Andrews Sisters, the Beach Boys, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs over instrumentals that sound kind of like glam rock gone industrial with some indie pop sprinkled on it, plus a raucous, sweaty, occasionally choreographed live performance: no wonder it's hard to come up with a concise description. You'd best go see them and figure it out for yourself.
