Black Cat Revue Biography

Once upon a mid summer’s eve, two freaky cats met atop a grassy knoll at midnight under a full moon to marinate in smoke and play sacred vibrations to each other. As a result of this rendezvous, a blood oath was sworn to write and play the new manifesto for fuzzy psychedelic rock n’ roll. In March 2015 the Black Cat Revue was born with their first gig as a two piece. The following summer the finest mercenaries were recruited to bolster the ranks and the BCR then performed their first show as a full band in August 2015 in to a full to capacity McChuills in their hometown Glasgow. In the afterglow, the BCR, like their spiritual forefathers, have bloomed into a ferocious, unpredictable live band, playing over 40 gigs in just over a year playing in such established venues as King Tuts, O2 ABC, Stereo as well as reaching further afield to Edinburgh and Dundee. The good ship BCR rolls ever forward. Since securing support slots alongside such International psychedelic and garage luminaries as Magic Castles, Night Beats, The Cult of Dom Keller, The Stairs, The Parrots and The Mystic Braves. This further cemented the Black Cat Revue as one of Glasgow’s most formidable psychedelic rock n’ roll groups. At the turn of 2017, plans are being formulated to record the debut E.P/Single release and to build on the foundations set into uncharted territories. The way they like it. Not since the glory days of Rome, I tell ya, has mankind known such valiant mysteries. www.Facebook.com/BlackCatRevue www.Soundcloud.com/BlackCatRevue www.Instagram.com/BlackCatRevue Garry Thomson - Guitar/Vocals David McIlwraith - Guitar/Vocals Gary McCrossan - Bass Alex Abate - Drums Psychedelic garage rock outlaws.
