The Real UENO Rhymez

Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas is I.AM.UENO pronounced "I am Uno". An eccentric and energetic soul here to deliver a hard hitting and vivacious sound to the music world that she calls “Lit”. A sound that could fall in the same lane as Travis Scott, Schoolboy Q, with a clever mix of emo-rap-rock. I.AM.UENO aka Ueno Rhymez relinquishes an artistic vision full of electricity that pierce right through your eardrum and shocks your entire body. As an artist that prefers recording her vocals and playing them back; over writing them down so she can “engulf the feeling of the lyrics” you know you are in for something special when she unveils the final product. From the tripped out sounds of “Sauce” where she drips her artistic juices all over your cerebellum to tracks like “Xyilla” where she attacks the mic effortlessly.
As you take a journey through the aural buffet of I.AM.UENO you can tell that this emcee is here to leave an indelible imprint in the world of music. Early on it was evident that music was pulsing in her blood stream as her mother recalls a young Ueno taking her first steps to a Blues Brothers scene where Aretha Franklin takes stage and begins singing. From that moment on nothing could stop Ueno from shinning. Her personal musical journey began in 2006/2007 when she and her counterparts would freestyle and work on various projects that her homeboy would record over at his parent’s house. A few years later she had her first performance at restaurant "All American Wings" with rap local group "Xplicit." Fast forward to 2017 and Ueno now has performed at SXSW, placed 1st in the Coast 2 Coast LA edition competition, placed 1st at the MWB Event #7, has been nominated for three 2016 SCM awards, and recipient of the 2015 “Female Solo Artist of the Year” award in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ueno released her first mixtape entitled “Beatz N Barz” back in 2015. She is currently working on a new mixtape that will be hosted by DJ Y.O. from Louisiana as well as an EP; both are untitled as of yet.
Ueno is an artist that looks like singer and performs like a rockstar who is very comfortable with herself as well as all her weird moments and oddities. Her contribution to the art world will be to show that the females can get down just as well as the males and hang in the community with some of the most talented artists. Ueno is here to stand as a model for future aspiring artists, showing them how to be comfortable in their own skin and to not be and to not be afraid to go for what their soul desires.
