Tahira Clayton Biography

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Tahira Clayton is beginning the journey of sharing her honest and earthy voice. Most recently featured on AMP Trio's album, "m(y)our world," Tahira was a highlighted soloist landing at #24 on the jazz charts. Tahira considers herself an urban jazz vocalist, exploring parts of different styles and unifying them with a modern flare. A side woman on many different recordings, Tahira is now playing and writing frequently for her own band in New York City. Her first album as a leader will be released in 2017. Urban contemporary jazz vocalist, song-writer, recording artist, and people lover.
