Taylor Brashears Biography

Taylor Brashears is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Nashville, TN. She fell in love with bluegrass music at the age of nine and began performing at sixteen. Taylor was the founder and lead singer of the jazzy, roots ensemble “The Supple Station Trio”, but in 2011 she joined forces with the esteemed Tammy Rogers (The SteelDrivers) to create her debut solo EP. This was also the debut production venture of Rogers, who was inspired to work with Taylor's unique style and mesmerizing voice. The EP was released in November 2011, and included special guests The McCrary Sisters, Jim Lauderdale, and Mike Witcher to name a few. The project exceeded expectations, and in the spring of 2013 Tammy and Taylor partnered up again to work on her first full-length album. The release date is TBA. Taylor was also a member of Team Blake on NBC's The Voice Season 7. Her unique sound and confidence won Taylor great favor in the judges eyes. Taylor's enchanting melodies and knack for the sinister come from a bluegrass background, but her singular approach on songwriting brings something special to the table that Nashville hasn't seen before.
