German version (see the english one below): Die Basis: An einem schwarzen Wintertag im Januar 2006 wurde Spirit of the Future Sun von Philipp Frick (Gitarre / ex- Immortal Rites), Mirko Rack (Bassgitarre / ex- Caddyshack) and Christoph Kinkel (Schlagzeug / ex- Haunted Gorge) in Alfdorf / BaWü gegründet. Kurze Zeit später kam Aiko Semler (Gesang) hinzu und gegen Ende des Jahres schloß Benni Weimer (Gitarre / ex- Agoknight) den Kreis der Zukunftssonne. Im Januar 2009 gab es eine kleine Sonnenfinsternis als Christoph sich entschied die Band aufgrund beruflicher Gründe zu verlassen. Patrick Betz füllte einen Monat später den Platz an der Schießbude ein und schloss den Kreis der Zukunftssonne. Anfang 2013 gab es noch einen fliegenden Besetzungswechsel an der Bassgitarre, bei dem Kevin Beißwenger als neuer "Future Son" aufgenommen wurde und Mirko wegen beruflicher Gründe die Band verließ. Der Name Der Name basiert auf einer sehr alten traditionellen chinesischen Legende welche bis heute immer noch am Leben ist und erzählt wird. The Orchid of Jin Shan Im Frühling 2007 enterten wir das Audiospezialist Studio in Bittenfeld und nahmen mit Produzent Martin Schmidt eine 6-Lieder-EP mit dem Namen “The Orchid of Jin Shan” auf welche gleich im Juni 2007 veröffentlicht wurde. Die Resonanz darauf war so großartig dass innerhalb weniger Tage die Auflage von 200 CDs vergriffen war. Der erste Auftritt Am 6. August 2007 hatten wir unseren ersten Auftritt auf dem Schwäbisch Gmünder Stadtfest bei dem die 1300 anwesenden Gäste komplett ausgerastet sind. Bis heute haben wir die Erfahrung aus über 75 "Stagekills" mit Bands wie Kreator, Behemoth, Kataklysm, Dark Trankquillity, Caliban... und spielten auf Festivals wie dem Zabbaduschder, dem Aaargh Festival und dem Out & Loud. Die Fans Mehrere Mitglieder "of the Future Sun" haben vor "Spirit" über 10 Jahre Erfahrung in verschiedenen anderen Bands gesammelt aber noch nie so eine unglaubliche und atemraubende Anerkennung von so vielen netten Menschen die zu unseren Konzerten kommen erfahren. Dies hat sich auch bis zum diesjährigen 10-jährigen Bandbestehen nicht geändert! The Constellation Park 2011 wurde “The Constellation Park” mit 11 neuen Songs und einer Spielzeit von 42:41 Minuten in Eigenregie veröffentlicht. Produzent Martin Schmidt nahm auf, mixte und masterte dieses unglaublich und professionelle Ergebnis in seinen High End Audiospezialist Studios. Das Album hat fand auch bei der Bemusterung verschiedener Magazine großen Anklang und konnte einige Punkte einheimsen (8 Punkte im Big Five Magazin 8/10 Punkte auf Powermetal.de, 8 Punkte im Heavy Magazin...). Das Fotoshootings zum Album übernahm Star Fotograf Alex Kuehr (Fotografie für z.B. Edguy, Avantasia, Eisbrecher...). Das neue Album "Fortitude" Am 30. September wird das neue zweite "full length album" Fortitude mit 12 Songs und einer Spielzeit von 50:46 Minuten über das Plattenlabel Timezone veröffentlicht. Das Schlagzeug wurde im Tonstudio Würzburg von Nikita Kamprad ("Der Weg einer Freiheit") aufgenommen. Gitarre, Bassgitarre, Gesang, Mix and Mastering machte Eike Freese ("Dark Age" / "Hansen & Friends") in den Chameleon Studios Hamburg. Intro und Outro von 2 Liedern wurden von Corvin Bahn (schon getourt mit Gamma Ray, Epica, Saxon, U.D.O. und vielen anderen) arrangiert. Für die beiden Songs „When the link becomes missing“ und „The rivers who conquered perdition“ konnte man Chris Clancy (ex- Mutiny Within / Wearing Scars) als Unterstützung an den Vocals gewinnen. Song Nr. 12 „Crystal Mountain“ ist eine Coverversion und Hommage an den verstorbenen Sänger Chuck Schuldiner von Death. Wieder übernahm das Shooting für das Album Alex Kuehr. HORNS UP, SPIRIT OF THE FUTURE SUN English version: The Basement On a black winter’s day in January 2006, Spirit of the Future Sun, was born in the Future Sun Camp in Alfdorf,Germany. Initiating members and drink-a-lots were Philipp Frick (guitar / ex- Immortal Rites), Mirko Rack (bass guitar / ex- Caddyshack) and Christoph Kinkel (drums / ex- Haunted Gorge). Shortly after Aiko Semler (vocals) joined the band and by the end of the year, the circle of the Future Sun was closed by Benni Weimer (guitar / ex-Agoknight). In January 2009 we had a short eclipse of the Future Sun as Christoph decided to leave the Band, caused by further education in his job. Patrick Betz joined the band one month later and closed the circle again. At the beginning of 2013 we have a small changeover at the bass guitar and Mirko left the Band due personal reasons and Kevin Beisswenger take his place as our new future son. The Name The Name is based on a very old traditional Chinese Legend which is still alive and has been narrated for hundreds of years. Imagine your guardian ghost deep within your heart that guides you through this darkening world, your Spirit of the Future Sun. The Music A fusion of integral rock and modern melodic death metal elements. The Orchid of Jin Shan In spring 2007 we entered the Audiospezialist studio in Bittenfeld and recorded with our Producer Martin Schmidt a six track demo called “The Orchid of Jin Shan” which saw in June 2007 light of day. The feedback was so great, that 200 copies were sold out in only days. The First Show On the 6th August 2007 we had our first live show, 1300 people going crazy near our home town in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Furthermore we shared over 75 Stagekills with acts like Kreator, Behemoth, Kataklysm, Dark Trankquillity, Caliban... to only name a few and played festivals like Zabbaduschder Festival, the Aargh Festival or the Out & Loud Festival, so the shows keep on running. The Fans Several members of the Future Sun collected over 10 years experience in other bands, but never had such an incredible and breathtaking admission from the beginning by such a crowd of nice people coming to our concerts and supporting us in any way. And now in our 10 years band history this has not changed in any way! The Constellation Park We have written 11 new qualified songs with 42:41 minutes total playing time, in our Future Sun Camp, to celebrate our first full length album self release in 2011 which is titled “The Constellation Park”. Producer Martin Schmidt recorded, mixed and mastered this unbelievable and PROFESSIONAL result in his High End Audiospezialist Studios. The album was checked and also found big favour at different magazines (8 points in Big Five magazine, 8/10 points on Powermetal.de, 8 points in Heavy magazine...). The upcoming second full length album "Fortitude" At the moment the release of the new full-length album "Fortitude" with 12 Songs and 50:46 total runtime is planed for the 30th September 2016 via Timezone Records. For the album the drums were recorded at Tonstudio Würzburg by Nikita Kamprad ("Der Weg einer Freiheit"). Guitars, Bass, Vocals, Mix and Mastering were done by Eike Freese ("Dark Age" / "Hansen & Friends") at Chameleon Studios Hamburg.
