Lone Kent + Seb Gisbert = Loud Cloud. Un duo, la forme la plus basique du jeu de groupe, Une guitare électrique et un set de percussions. Chacun étant responsable - à part égale - du résultat sonore, la tension est palpable. Comme s’ils (re)découvraient l’intimité du minimalisme (From Blinding Light) et la puissance du son (To Bloody Heavy). Ils oscillent élégamment entre harmonies bluesy, mélodies pop entêtantes et riffs rock, efficacement servis par une voix au large registre et au timbre chaud et prenant. Lone Kent, guitariste et songwriter américain original et inspiré, a décidé de renoncer à l’excédent de bagages d’un son de groupe et de réduire l’impact musical à deux musiciens, deux sons. Il a déjà à son actif trois albums remarqués et diverses collaborations*. Seb Gisbert est un jeune percussionniste français qui a étudié au conservatoire de Toulouse. Plusieurs fois primé, il est connu pour son ouverture à toutes sortes de musiques et pour sa quête constante de nouvelles sonorités. Il a joué avec divers groupes (Sfora, Funky Style Brass, Doctor Groove, Rockbox…) et l’orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse. Il a aussi partagé la scène avec des compagnies de danse contemporaine. (*) La presse l’a qualifié de « guitariste hors normes », « musicien extra-terrestre ». Lone Kent nous a habitué à un son d’une pureté rare, à un style pour le moins envoûtant, entre rock atmosphérique et ambient blues, entre country fusion et metal zen. Il est aussi connu pour son travail avec des compositeurs avant-gardistes (Hector Zazou, Rhys Chatham, Kasper Toeplitz) et ses excursions dans des musiques plus conventionnelles : Les Faux Bijoux, Francis Lalanne, Audrey Lavergne, Alima & Lone Kent... Après « Granite & Sand », paru en 1993 chez Crammed Disc/Columbia (salué par Guitares & Claviers comme un « premier disque exceptionnel d’un guitariste surdoué, multi-instrumentiste et génialement avant-gardiste »), puis « The Need To Know » (Willing Productions/Scalen) en 1999 et « Oysters » (NOA Music) en 2005, « From Blinding Light... to Bloody Heavy » marque le retour attendu du guitariste, dans une configuration minimaliste et épurée qui va droit à l’essentiel. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// A duo, the most basic form of group playing. Lone Kent is an out of the ordinary american guitarist and songwriter, who has decided to trim down and bring the musical impact to two musicians, two sounds. He is also known for his work with contemporary composers such as Hector Zazou, Rhys Chatham, Kasper Toeplitz as well as excursions into more conventional music: Les Faux Bijoux, Francis Lalanne, Audrey Lavergne, Alima & Lone Kent… He has 3 solo albums to his credit*. Seb Gisbert Seb Gisbert is a young french percussionist who has studied at the Conservatoire de Toulouse. With many awards to his credit, he is known for his openness towards many different types of music as well as his constant quest for new sounds. He has played with different bands (Sfora, Funky Style Brass, Doctor Groove, Rockbox…) and has performed with the «Orchestre National du Capital de Toulouse». He has also shared the stage with contemporary dance companies. (*) The press has qualified him as an, «atypical virtuoso», an «inspired and unlikely creator». Lone Kent has accustomed us to a rare and spellbinding sound, between Atmospheric Rock, Ambient Blues, Country Fusion and Metal Zen.
