Leandra Lane

Leandra Veronica Rasiah Lane, was born on November 9th 1986 to her parents Rick Lane from the Motown group 'The Drifters' and to Lucia, her mother. She is a Singaporean born African American/Dutch Eurasian singer, dancer, host and actor. When Leandra was 13, she won the Mariah Carey singing competition and got to meet Mariah Carey in person. In 2004 she took part in the pioneer season of Singapore Idol and came in to the Top 5. Leandra has had acting experience on the 'Kids Central' channel in Singapore and was even invited to host the Spongebob Squarepants Asian Tour 'The Sponge Who Could Fly' when it came to Singapore. She was also a student in Sydney's prestigious 'Brent Street School of The Performing Arts' and Debbie Allen's dance academy in Los Angeles. She has since opened for artistes such as Ziggy Marley and Rick Price and has performed for artistes including Michael Jackson, Joe Jackson, The Supremes, The Shirelles, Pharell Williams, Maroon 5, The Braxton sisters and many more.
