Mista Chatman Biography
MISTA CHATMAN From the mountainsides of Eastern Washington to the sandy beaches of Jamaica (and many places in between), Reggae Fusion artist MISTA CHATMAN remains livicated to entertaining the masses with his booming, ragga styled mic chatting. Formerly known as DJ COLLAGE, he recorded and performed with several different artists in the Electronic Dub realm such as Sofa Surfers, Stereotyp, Megablast, Meat Beat Manifesto, Ghislain Poirier & others. And in the early days of Dubstep, he was one of the first US based Ragga Mcs to perform live & direct longside top djs Kode 9, Benga, Hatch, Caspa & Rusko. Since converting to Mista Chatman, he has performed in many festivals, shows and reggae parties in places like Canada, New York City, San Francisco and Jamaica, both solo and alongside international artists such as Delhi2Dublin, Kytami, Subatomic Sound System, Jahdan Blakkamoore, Non Stop Bhangra, Dub Mission Soundsystem and others. He has also shared the stage with many reggae greats such as Collie Buddz, Mad Professor, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Barrington Levy, Marlon Asher, and Yellowman. And over the last few years, he began to focus on more recording projects and has collaborated with the likes of Canada's Delhi2Dublin, Kytami, SF dubstep producer El Diablo, Brooklyn-based producer Rx, Slit Jockey Record's El Carnicero, Jamaican artist God Head, BC-based producer The Phonograff, Dj Sep, and Vienna's Electro Dance outfit The Kung Fu Divas. Via his own ChattAttak Productions, he released the solo dancehall single "Mash it Up Again" in early 2013 and released the cross over single "WAITING" featuring vocals from Seattle based R&B singer Sistah Luv in spring 2014. Towards the end of the year he appeared on artist Anita Vokil's release "Come Rude Boy" on Boom One Records. Currently he can be found performing at his monthly "Reggae On Rainier" nite in Seattle's Columbia City area alongside local & international Reggae acts. He is preparing to release his new single "Can't Lock Off The Dance" in early 2016. Reggae Fusion Artist
