Richard Youngs Biography
Currently living in Glasgow (Scotland), Richard Youngs is a highly versatile and experimental artist, often categorized as 'folktronica', but usually spilling way outside that definition. He has been releasing and performing music since the early 80s, either solo or with a collaborator - and more recently as part of prog revivalists Ilk. His work ranges from the affecting Sapphie (a lament for his dog) to the strange humor of Lake (recorded over 3 days in 1990 with Simon Wickham-Smith). However, his recent high point must be his bass playing duties in concert with Jandek.
