Knuckleheadz Biography

It’s Knuckleheaded! The easiest way to put it is hip-hop rap n roll, two M.C.’s that really move the crowd and get people involved. It’s the type of music that has a deep meaning but is still catchy at the same time. “ Type of music you can dance to, smoke to, and relate to. “ said Sticcy.

It’s more than just music though, to them, it’s a brand and a lifestyle that people seem to enjoy. That is why they mostly write about things that they feel and situations that they have been through, even just capturing certain emotions. You will be able to hear their influences throughout their lyrics and music.

1.) What city and state are you from?

Nick Gervasi aka Sticcy is originally from Buffalo, NY and moved out to Mesa, AZ in the early 90’s. Sticcy currently resides in Mesa, AZ. Justin Schultz aka Mythh was born in Tucson, AZ then moved to Chandler, AZ in the mid 90’s. Mythh is now currently in Mesa, AZ also.

2.) What is your music background?

Justin aka Mythh started doing music as early as age 11 doing karaoke
With his uncle learning how to sing, and also played the trumpet in elementary school and Jr high school. Justin didn’t actually write his first piece of original music until about the 8th grade going into High School. He also started composing his own instrumentals in 9th grade using a program called Reason along with a cheap midi -controller he received from a family member. Justin also has been in two music groups prior to the Knuckleheadz and has completed about 6 albums. Those group names were Foolish and also Kind Bud. He has now been a part of Knuckleheadz for 3 years and together they have completed an album, a mix tape and many collaborations with other artist. Justin has also performed with many other artist including Ra The Rugged Man, Twisted Insane, Coolio, Layzie Bone, Whitney Peyton, Cryptic Wisdom, Paul Wall, Chamillonaire, Kottonmouth Kings, Da Mafia Six, Futuristic, Spice 1, D.G.A.F, Andre Nikatina, E-40,
Murs, and many more.

Nick aka Sticcy was into music at a very young age starting when he got his first little Yamaha piano, also in school he played the villain, even started writing lyrics at a young age but didn’t like his voice so never released any thing until few years down the road but for the years in between Sticcy was a Dj/producer he produced songs for other artist, He also helped them write lyrics then around the age of 16 he started his first group called Society Flunkeez, an inspiration from good friends of his Phunk Junkeez. Not long after Sticcy and a former Member changed the name to knuckle Headz and that picked up very fast. They were doing magazine interviews, and opening up for big shows. Then the other member could not stay with the group, but sticky was too committed and could see the big picture to just to stop. So for a while he did a solo act and went by “Sticky” and shared the stage with many artist such as Red Man Method Man, Mims, Slim Thug, Twista, Brotha Lynch hung, Andre Nikatina, ABK, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Killa Priest and many others. After a few years though he figured, why not bring back Knuckle Headz. So he revamped his name and switched the spelling to Sticcy. Now feeling confident Sticcy started to reach out to other artist with the same passion and drive he had. He was already working with Mythh and had him feature on previous projects, so he was one of the first Sticcy contacted. Mythh was super on board with the whole idea. Since then they have released multiple projects from hard copy’s to free downloads also releases on iTunes, Amazon, etc. tons of shows as local support for big artist also a few national tours one with Grammy award winning artist Whitney Peyton. It’s been a long road but everyday more light shines through the tunnel.
