Max B Biography
Max B (born Charles Wingate) is a member of Byrd-Gang.
Max B grew up in the same area where he can be found today: 140th and Lennox in Harlem. "My whole family was dysfunctional," Max says. "They are good now though," he quickly adds.
Struggling through poverty, Max spent seven years in jail starting at the age of eighteen years old for charges ranging from drug possession to armed robbery. During this time, at the suggestion of his good friend J. Chillz, Max spent his days writing rhymes, which paid off upon release in early 2005 when his long time friend, now manager Mike Bruno brought some of his rhymes to fellow Harlem native, Jim Jones who quickly signed the rapper to a two album deal Asylum Records.
His album is to be released on the second quarter of 2007.
He was featured in Jim Jones's album Hustler's P.O.M.E. released November 7, 2006.
On September 29, 2006, Max B was arrested in connection with a murder and attempted robbery.
