Better in Theory Biography
" People are always amazed at the sound and energy that these guys bring to the stage. Alternative rock with a touch of grunge . Their unique time signatures set them apart from the crowd. Their music is always tight and the crowd is always on their feet. Debuting their first EP ( Fueled by Monsters) mid year 2015 they were named Artist of the Week by Midwest Music upon its release. They are always surprised by the enthusiastic reception at their shows both by audiences as wells as the other bands." The band came to be after front man C.J. Davidson met drummer Jack Heet and bassist Sage Glasscock during local music lessons. One day during debate about music theory the bands' name became evident and Better in Theory was born. The bands' many influences from Queens of the Stone Age to Classic Rock are evident in their music. With lead vocals sounding like a nod back to a young Kurt Cobain mixed with an old rockers soul you have C.J.s unique sound. All the while playing his guitar with the creativity and skill that comes with endless hours of practice. Jack shows his versatile skills on drums with ability to switch from pounding beats in a moment to the lightest touch . A definite example of his ongoing jazz training and a core part of their unique sound. Their secret weapon, Sage keeps the low driving bass going while at the same time adding her beautiful voice to bring balance to their sound. You would never guess her a classically trained violinist when watching her rock the bass. Come see for yourself! St. Louis Band
