What do you expect from a Hard Rock experience? Dawning is the end of a long night or the beginning of a new day? The choice is free. Transition is what the album "Mind The Gap" represents on the current stage of Dirty Glory. The space between comfort zone and breaking out patterns is where the greatest revolutions are born. It’s necessary to watch out when carrying over. The debut of this group from Sao Paulo was the EP "It's On" in 2011 which had three songs including the video/single "Mr. Jack". "In 2012 we made an unplugged version of this song and it was appreciated by the fans”, enthuses guitar player Dee Machado. The following year was time for the single/video for the ballad "Every Time I Think About You". Dirty Glory is now ready to release on November 6th, their first full-length. "Mind The Gap" has 12 songs; 10 new and two re-recordings from the previous singles. “The songs are in the vein we love: good old Glam Metal influenced by from Van Halen, Gunn N’ Roses, Kiss and Danger Danger," explains singer Jimmi DG. "A bit of Blues and some Metal punch are always welcome as well", adds guitarist Reichhardt. "Mind The Gap" was recorded on Studio Flpac4, in Sao Paulo where people like Joe Lynn Turner, Andreas Kisser, Musica Diablo and other well-known artists have worked, having Luis Lopes and Jimmi DG at the helm. "The synergy and intimacy we earned from former projects helped a lot in the creative process with Jimmi DG. He knows exactly what he wants! Luis Lopes is a great music enthusiast. His critics and suggestions brought positive things for the band as a whole, not only musically. He’s family," says Reichhardt. During recordings, the band switched bass players. Out went VinniNovack and in came Vikki Sparkz (ex-Bite). “I liked the band ever since 2012. In person, the guys had a compelling energy and everything fitted perfectly right from the first song we played together”, says Vikki. After some time away from the stage, Jimmi DG (vocals), Dee Machado and Reichhardt (guitars), Vikki Sparkz (bass) and Sas (drums) are preparing a great release gig, as well as the video for the new single "Sticks and Stones", out on October 20th. "The intro for 'Sticks and Stones' was one of the first things written for this record, still in 2012; and maybe it was the most influential piece, sound wise, for what was to follow; besides it’s a strong tune, lyrically. It’s only fair that it should be chosen as the first single," analyzes Jimmi DG. "Mind The Gap" will be available on all digital platforms for free streaming and downloading, and physical copies will be available for sale on www.dirtyglory.com.
