Arcadia Roots Biography

t hasn’t taken long for Worcestershire based Arcadia Roots Psychedelic, Voodoo Reggae Blues and funk-inflected sound to take the festival scene by storm.

Arcadia Roots music has been influenced by the band’s extensive travels. Themes cover some current political and environmental concern’s (fracking, trophy hunting, and religious indoctrination) to time-honoured topics such as love, lust and the search for meaning.

The power of the pounding Djembe rhythm, the driving back beat and hypnotic swirling guitars give Arcadia Roots music a spiritual and hypnotic quality that takes audiences on a musical journey.

This ritualistic journey is further enhanced in the music of the band’s soon to be released second album (taking it’s title from one of their earliest written tracks) where the band continue to develop their psychedelic voodoo blues vibe.

To date Arcadia Roots have played many top festival slots, notably the Glastonbury Festival Pilton-Party stage with Bastille and Declan McKenna, main stage at Lakefest alongside The Darkness and played alongside Aswad, Alabama 3 , The Charlatans and supported the Lightning Seeds at

Tenbury 2018. Other 2018 festival bookings included The Green Gathering and One Love 2018.

The jewel in the crown for 2018 Arcadia Roots was being invited to perform in front of an international audience at the John Bonham Memorial celebration in September 2018 where their dub version of Whole Lotta Love won over the die hard Zep fans.

Festivals booked for 2019 have included Noztock, Jurassic Fields, The Green Gathering, Wychwood Festival (invited by BBC) and others as well as continuing to perform at venues throughout the UK. The band have a European tour planned for 2020 and already have 2020 festivals and other European venues booked.

The band currently have two EP’s released and are releasing singles on the run up to their debut full album due for release in Spring 2020.
