The John Trumaine Show Biography
History & Origin: From 2010 to 2012, Joshua Challen, Greg King, John Lora and Aaron Rodden performed in The Trabajabas. Beginning in the summer of 2014, Joshua Challen and Greg King began experimenting with improvised jams and later absorbed John Lora and Aaron Rodden. The John Trumaine Show has since developed into a vision of psychedelic dance-rock gathering influence from a vast community of dedicated artists to achieve a truly unique sound and presence. Improvised Jams to Now: In the fall of 2014, John Lora reunited with Joshua Challen and Greg King. As the band became more cohesive, the music followed suit. They began structuring improvised jams into songs resulting in a 2-track demo (featuring “Gula” & “White Water”) released shortly after the group’s formation. Over the winter of 2014, The John Trumaine Show wrote and recorded their debut EP, GeoFever, in their basement studio. This collection was released in the spring of 2015, leading to a series of weekend tours to Boston, Cleveland, Toronto, and Philadelphia. The band looks to build their local and regional prominence by scheduling tour dates in the northeastern United States for the spring of 2016. Spontaneous improvisational sessions foster and solidify a party atmosphere filled with sexual tension and self loathing
