The Luke Johnson Band is a high energy three piece posse of musical pioneers who thrive on improvisation and conscious lyrical hooks. Blending elements of rock, funk, jazz and roots with their original grooves and freshly spread jams, they transcend limitation with a strong voice. A keyboard based band that continually refines the musical essences of the past while morphing each song into a new landscape of sound, this band stirs the crowd, ignites the dance floor and unifies everyone within its range. Since 2009 LJB has travelled to many venues and festivals such as Wilderness Jam, Full Moon Fest, SoundQuilt, Healing Waters, Buffalo Gap Jam Fest, Burning Leaves, and Stop the Kaboom. Pouring through their diverse set of original music and choice covers they captivated the crowds with their unique presence and effortless precision. The LJB core fan base is well established and expands into Northern VA, Baltimore and DC.
