I've been a vocalist for the better part of my life. I was blessed to share the company of many talented and influential musicians and teachers. I had the pleasure of working with Badiene Magaziner, a beautiful woman who works hard for her students so they reach their full potential, for about 5 years before she stopped teaching in NJ. She taught a variety of styles, but focused on speech level singing when it came to my curriculum. I have met with several producers and vocal coaches who have worked with artists like Avril Lavigne, Weird Al (...odd, I know...), Justin Timberlake, and the late Michael Jackson. They all told me the same thing. "You don't need vocal lessons, you need to learn how to write songs." Since then, I've been attempting to write music that not only speaks the truth of my life experiences, but conveys a relatable message to my listeners and "fans", if you will. I've worked with a lot of local musicians, and have played a lot of cover gigs in the South Jersey area. I'm now looking to expand my network, truly put my life to paper, and work on this whole heartedly. I finally started teaching voice to those who are looking to expand their range, uncover new techniques to help with problem areas such as tone, pronunciation, and performance.
