HANDS OF THE MARTYR Biography
In 2011, Brook, Lee, Ty, Nate, and Josh went to the studio to record their first lp "Foul Tongue". Shortly after the release, vocalist Brook and guitarist Josh decided to part ways with the band. Still as much about God as when they started, the remaining members continued to persue their passion. In early 2012, Ty announced his future endevors to go on a religious mission. Because of this, the band decided to write and release an EP, while also going on a West - Coast tour. This home recorded EP, "The Frigid War", consisted of the line up of Ty moving to bass and vocals, Lee on guitar, Nate on Drums, and the addition of Adrian on guitar. After the tour, HOTM then took a hiatus due to the absent of their vocalist. In the summer of 2014, Ty returned from his mission with more desire and passion to reunite the band. Since then, HOTM has been writing new music, and playing more shows. In the spring of 2015, HOTM visited Zing Studios with producer Jim Fogarty (Killswitch Engage, The Devil Wears Prada, All that Remains) and Joe Cocchi (from the band Within the Ruins) to record a Full length, self-tilted album to be released in 2016. The Album will be mastered by Alan Douches. Four piece Christian Metalcore/Hardcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah.
