You know how some kids, at the age of 4, stand in front of the mirror and sing knowing that one day, they'll be a star performer...yeah...not me...I, and probably no one around me back then, would believe that at 20, I'd be working on an album and ministering through music. I was born on the Southside of Chicago with an immediate love for and connection to music. God blessed me with a great childhood--never was the rich kid or anywhere close--but I had everything I needed and most of what I wanted. Music is my passion and I love it all...I don't discriminate! Good songwriting, good production, good playing, good singing and good arrangement makes for GOOD music. I've been most influenced by a handful of gospel greats such as JMoss, Kim Burrell, Israel Houghton, and Smokie Norful. I have an equal love for great songwriters and musicians in every genre however including Chick Corea, John Mayer, the Beatles, the Yellowjackets, Musiq Soulchild and Rascal Flatts. In this E.P. you'll find some what me and my generation go through on a daily basis: insecurity, battles against the world, the enemy, and within ourselves, doubt, self-discovery, and the ebb and flow of living in Christ. As the body of Christ, we are all in this together! So theres no need for judging and no reason not to be transparent...we have a bigger purpose for our lives!
