Ana Free

Ana Free has been a compulsive songwriter since the age of 11, and has amassed over 500 original songs to date. Ana Free grew up expressing her thoughts in songs. She says that if you read her songbooks, you’ll know her life story. At the age of 8, Ana learnt to play the guitar, her signature instrument, and began sticking ideas and melodies together. In 2008, after majoring in Economics in the UK, the British-Portuguese pop artist had already garnered her fair share of the new exploding media audience. With over 33 million unique video views, combined with her armada of over 70 000 YouTube subscribers, Ana independently released her debut single “In My Place” in Portugal. She was featured in a national advertising campaign which helped push her music into the number 1 spot on the charts. She continued to chase her passion through 2009, touring over 30 shows, writing and recording for her fans and traveling around the globe. She embarked on a series of different projects, releasing a pop EP project “Radian” which she debuted in North America to sold out shows in Miami and New York City. Ana has completed her debut album “TOGETHER” which is due for release in 2013. To date, Ana has counted up 5 hits in the Top 5 on MTV Portugal, and in 2012 alone has enjoyed #1 single chart success with her dance hit “Girlfriend” (on the charts for 33 weeks and counting) and her first debut album single “Electrical Storm”. Aside from swiftly continuing to build an impressive brand, Ana Free has opened stages from festivals to sold-out arenas for artists like Shakira, James Morrison and Ronan Keating.
