The Alpha Sequence

Hosted by Imperial Destruction, with the support of Thread of Omen, The Metalist and To The Stage, “Geraasplaas: A New Years Bash of Destruction” will be the second instalment of Imperial Destruction’s wacky located event’s. Held on the farm of lead guitarist Wian Bester, we aim to create a unique festival far away from home where all creatures of the night and alternative creature alike, may find peace and beauty on the wide horizon in Riversdale (Zoutpan, Near Stilbaai) while enjoying their passion for music. Aimed to preserve and grow the metal community of South Africa, Geraasplaas will be a warm getaway for those who struggle to find their passion on New Year’s Eve. With musicians from all over South Africa, you are bound to find what you crave. There will be camping grounds, food, booze, metal and activities to kick your ass into a new year with a smile! Gates open on the 30th of December 2015, and festivities will begin with karaoke, pool, foosball, and beer pong contests with some great prizes up for grabs! Bands will start early on the 31st across two stages. There will be both an Indoor stage (Main Stage) and an Outdoor Stage (Acoustic Stage, with cover from the firey rays of the sun) . The Indoor Stage will be embraced by some of South Africa’s finest Metal and Alternative acts. While the outdoor stage will host the relaxing and groovy acoustic sounds of both new and experienced artists, to help cure your hangover or help you relax.
