Barroom Heroes Biography

We are the BarRoom Heroes. Named after a song by the Dropkick Murphys and established Dec 2007. We have had a few lineup changes over the years but brothers Jake (15 guitar/vocals) & Nick Bell (13 bass/vocals) are the founding members. Davey Dryer (17 drummer) joined March of 2012 and has added lots of energy and talent earning him the nickname "Animal". In June 2009 we had a show shut down by the cops (we where 10 & 11!). Ken Casey & DKM caught wind and stepped up doing several interviews in support. The Press nicknamed us "Band of PUNK brothers". From there we started doing benefits. Punks For A Princess fundraiser show Sept 2010 (ongoing punksforaprincess.com) was our break to meeting some great Booking Agents (Beantown Booking & Brass N Ammo) and other bands (Lenny Lashleys Gang of One, Beantown Boozehounds, The Scrapes, The F.U.'s, Bob Cenci of Jerrys Kids and many many more). We've played some great venues Harpers Ferry, Landsdowne Pub, Church of Boston, Beachcomber, McGreevys, Midway Cafe, Firehouse 13 and many more. Nov 2010 we opened for Lenny Lashley's Gang of One (formerly of Darkbuster) CD release party at McGreevys, March 2011 for the Dropkick Murphys at Tsongas Arena, Dec 2011 for The Street Dogs at The Paradise, March 2012 we where back at Tsongas Arena for The Claddagh Funds Block Party and met Danny O'Connor for the first time. Also that week opened for The Mahones at Fete, RI. March 2013 Ken Casey invited us out on tour with DKM to Electric Factory in Philly, 9:30 Club in DC and Terminal 5 in NYC. April 28th we were invited to do Dropkick Murphys benefit at the House of Blues, Boston for the victims of the Boston Marathon. We shared the stage with The Old Brigade, The Parkington Sisters, Big D and the Kids Table. To be part of something so grand is unexplainable and to be part of the healing and raising $ for the Claddagh Fund for the victims felt great. That show was about raising $ and to start the Boston process of healing. We are having a blast and looking forward to whatever may come in the future... BOSTON PROUD... BOSTON STRONG! http://www.reverbnation.com/barroomheroes http://www.youtube.com/user/TheBarroomheroes
