More than a prog/power/symphonic metal band, Qantice is a universe where the epics of a sci-fi saga spread over a story and music, mixing ancient and modern instruments, fantasy atmospheres and jaw-dropping virtuosity, with no limit but the wildest imagination.
2009. First album: The Cosmocinesy
With their first release on Brennus Records, the French band received a warm welcome from press and fans, but also beyond the metal world, particularly with the novelization of the album’s concept story: Qantice La Cosmocinésie, Co-written by author Marie Fontaine and Qantice founder and guitarist Tony Beaufils, the book and was published by Argemmios in 2012.
2014. Second album: The Phantonauts
For their awaited new release, the French metallers recruited Norwegian vocal sensation Pellek (over 1 million subscribers on YouTube) to go into hyperdrive and aim for the stars! Produced by Kevin Codfert (Adagio, Myrath), and mastered by Jens Bogren (Symphony X, Dragonforce), The Phantonauts features guest appearances from Zaher Zorgati (Myrath) and Yossi Sassi (Orphaned Land). With this album of other-worldly epicness, Qantice has drawn the attention of two new labels: Radtone Music (Japan), and Nightmare Records (USA), and gathered thousands of new fans!
2016. New singer & tour with LT’s Rhapsody
PelleK being unavailable for concerts, Qantice hired Swedish singer David Akesson (Celestial Decay, ex Moonlight Agony) to go on their first European tour in Jan/Feb 2016, opening for the legendary founder of symphonic metal: Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody!
