Lord Marshall Biography
Loic Gisselere aka “Lord Marshall” was born in Gournay-En-Bray, a small town up north of Paris, France. Loic comes from an artistic family of 5. Loic and his brother Samuel (bass), formed Gis’Lere, a thrash/heavy metal band with a futuristic theme. After the band broke up, Loic moved to the States. While recruiting new musicians and promoting his demo cassette to local radio stations and magazines in Los Angeles, Loic is nominated most promising guitar player by “Rock City News Paper”, and appeared on Dwell Records compilation “Hell Bent for Metal 2”. The origin of Lord Marshall came from a character Loic performed for the Medieval Times show in Buena Park, California. “I performed Lord Marshall, the General of the King’s army who was also the traitor of the realm. While performing shows around Los Angeles and Orange County, Lord Marshall started to record five songs with the help of his friend, guitarist Christophe Soulat, and drummer Anthony Augros, located in Central France. The bass and drum tracks were recorded in the French small town of Vierzon, at the Not’Ile Recording Studio and sent to Loic who lived in Los Angeles. Later on, he added the guitars, vocals, arrangements, and also mixed and mastered the songs. The album comprises 5 original songs: Custom Fast Fire, Genome Brother, Oxygen (instrumental), Mr. Mercenary, and Prayer for the Rest. They are colored with a mixed touch of inspired Sci-Fi, and Epic Metal is the driving force. His music is forged into a metal platform for the soaring vocals, with lyrics sometimes in French, and a melodic-orchestral-futuristic feel. Lord Marshall first EP album, “Event Horizon” which is also the name of his custom guitar was released in December 2010. After many changes of band line-up and shows performed in the Los Angeles area, Lord Marshall met drummer Kyle “SNAGLROT” Stone in 2012 who shared the same interest for heavy and melodic metal. Kyle proved to be a truly gifted musician who could also play guitar, bass, and keyboard. A few months later, Lord Marshall met bassist Tim Stiegler while at a show at the House of Blues in Anaheim. Soon after, Tim joined Lord Marshall’s band, which became a three-piece band. The band played several shows as trio for about a year before recruiting Josh Bartlett behind the keyboard. Lord Marshall has shared the stage with international metal bands such as Alestorm, Trollfest, and Gypsyhawk. Creating Timelessness Music...
