I-Exist Biography

The Indianapolis based duo, I-Exist, have transcended the limits of Modern Rock. Through an uncompromising focus on creativity, the band have found a sound all their own featuring delicate ambient soundscapes, soaring vocal melodies, and heart pounding rhythmic patterns. After performing over 100 shows across 42 states on their Human Hologram Tour in 2014, I-Exist is alive now more than ever. Starting out as a concept from a cabin in the middle of the woods, which Brian Lenington (vocals, synth, guitar, cello) called home at the time, I-Exist found it's core in 2007 with Buddy Jackson (guitar, vocals), Cameron Bailey (drums, vocals), and Jon Bolotte (bass, vocals). The band took it's first major swing with their debut full length album in 2009 titled "Within Imagination", which scored their single "Fire Fly" on the Major Motion Picture Soundtrack "SAW 3D: The Final Chapter" as well as a music video feature for "Pass Out" on the movie's Blu Ray / DVD release. The band rode the success of that release beginning with a national tour in the Spring of 2010 and into 2011. Never settling for the status quo, the group set out to do the unthinkable with their next release. In 2012, I-Exist announced that they would be unleashing an epic, four-volume concept album entitled "Humanity" which released alongside each season of that year. Spanning 24 tracks, the collection became a force of its own, bringing the listener into a world rarely achieved in rock music. Narrated by voice actor Adam Crowe, "Humanity" pushed the band's sound beyond all previous boundaries with cello tracks, hand percussion, and orchestral scores. The massive songs instantly caught fire on YouTube, which have gone viral through FaZe Clan, OpticNation, and other channels which have gained the band over two million plays. The momentum carried into the next year as Ernie Ball selected the group to play Van's Warped Tour 2013. Always evolving, I-Exist made a massive change in 2014 in order to fulfill their dream of traveling the globe. Going from a four-piece to a duo, the band used all of their imaginary and technological prowess to create a state-of-the-art stage performance featuring full size holographic players. The innovative show took the band across the entire United States while turning heads at over 100 shows that year. They even got the attention of Jeff Hanson (former manager of Creed, Paramore, and Sevendust) who brought the single “Giving My Life” into full rotation on SiriusXM Octane. On January 1st, 2015, the band announced another breakthrough album concept. “Consciousness”, an ambitious three-year trilogy, promises listeners to “expect the unexpected” and marks the beginning of a “breakthrough sound of the future”. I-Exist is currently on tour with hopes of spreading their message of life, humanity, and consciousness throughout the world.
