Samantha Ronson Biography
Samantha Ronson is a popular A-list party DJ/rock singer, which seems to run in the family. Her step-father is musician Mick Jones of the rock band Foreigner and her mom is Ann Dexter-Jones; her brother is legendary NYC DJ and producer Mark Ronson.
She was formerly signed to hip hop label Roc-A-Fella Records and she released three songs: "Pull My Hair Out", "Fool", and "Built This Way" which was featured in the movie Mean Girls.
n 2004, Ronson wrote and recorded her first album "RED", which was never released, though song downloads were made available from her MySpace page. Ronson also made a number of appearances on mix tapes produced by artists signed to the Roc-A-Fella label. After leaving Roc-A-Fella, Ronson moved to Los Angeles and continued playing shows, DJ'ing, as well as writing and recording music.
She is also a co-owner of the New York City nightclub The Plumm, along with actor Chris Noth, David Wells and Noel Ashman, among others.
