Generation Fuckstar

ENG: Generation Fuckstar born in 2011 from the ashes of an old band of friends, involved in a glam project 'till that year. What the group felt was a common need of musical growth. The detachment from 80’s music gives the band a brand new sound. Generation Fuckstar started to look for a new attitude, and as known, ambition brings straight to evolution. The band started to work on new stuff and sonorities, recording in their laundry, due to money lack. In 2014 Generation Fuckstar recorded their first two songs at Frequenze studio in Monza. Recurring themes in the lyrics are the sense of inadequacy, the continuous pursuit of theirselves, the battle between good and evil, the sense of rage that everybody feels and often hides. Generation Fuckstar write about a primitive feeling that belongs to everyone, which everyone can understand and share. The band played lots of live gigs and often supported also italian and foreign bands, like Sister (Swe), Lacuna Coil (It), Pollution, Scream Baby Scream, The Boys (UK), Audrey, Adam Kills Eve, Invasione degli Omini Verdi and many more, gaining notoriety not only around Milan, but also in France, (opening act for Voltrage in Marseille). In 2013 the band won the Rock on The Road music contest (Desio, Italy), getting the first position over 60 bands. In 2014 Generation Fuckstar also won the Brianza Rock Festival, sharing the stage with Morgan, Lacuna Coil and Afterhours. ITA: I Generation Fuckstar nascono nel 2011 dalle ceneri di una vecchia band di amici impegnati fino a quel momento in un progetto glam, per un bisogno comune di crescita musicale. L’abbandono della musica anni 80 conferisce un nuovo ed incredibile sound alla band che sviluppa un senso di ricerca della novità e come tutti sappiamo l’ambizione non porta che all’evoluzione. Inizia così un vero e proprio lavoro su pezzi inediti registrati dapprima nella lavanderia di casa per mancanza di budget e successivamente incisi, nel 2014, nella sala di registrazione Frequenze di Monza. I temi ricorrenti delle canzoni riguardano principalmente un senso di inadeguatezza e una continua ricerca di se stessi, la continua battaglia tra bene e male, la rabbia che sta in ognuno di noi e che troppo spesso tende a rimanere celata. I Generation Fuckstar scrivono di un sentimento primitivo che appartiene a chiunque e che chiunque può comprendere e condividere. La band presenta un passato ricco di esperienze live e aperture a diversi gruppi italiani e stranieri quali Sister (Swe), Lacuna Coil (Ita), Dirty Passion (Swe), Devotion (Ita), Pollution, Scream Baby Scream, The Boys (UK), Audrey, Adam Kills Eve, Invasione degli Omini Verdi e molti altri e ha acquistato notorietà non solo nelle zone di Milano e dintorni, ma anche il Francia, in occasione della performance di apertura allo show dei Voltrage a Marsiglia. Nel 2013 vincitori del contest del Rock on the Road di Desio (primi su 60 band) e l’anno successivo sul palco del Brianza Rock Festival che vantava come ospiti Morgan, Lacuna Coil e Afterhours.
