The Dream Logic Biography

The Dream Logic is a groundbreaking new jam fusion band fueled by New York born and bred multi-instrumentalist and composer Charles Compo. In 2012 Compo caught fire on YouTube and the college radio circuit with his solo effort, "Foolish Pleasure" and now he's back to turn up the heat with a fresh mix of jam, funk, and rock n roll with The Dream Logic. Derek Sivers, the founder of CD Baby, called his music “Funky, Edgy, Jammy, Electric Jazz that you won’t soon forget; mixes acid jazz, jam band casual approach, the sass of Funk and a searing electric production that delivers it all with tasteful precision.” A total of 13 hot new tracks were completed at the legendary Cutting Room Studios in downtown Manhattan with an all-star cast of jam band veterans who regularly perform with notable acts such Soulive, Trey Anastasio, Robert Randolf, and Blood Ulmer. Those musicians include Eric Krasno (Guitar), Mark Peterson (String Bass), James Casey (Saxophone), Brian Dunne (Drums), Camille Gainer (Drums), Jerry Brooks (Bass), Jeff Miller (Keys), Mark Williams (Trombone), Mustafa Ahmed (Percussion). Charles Compo has collaborated, performed and recorded over the years with a diverse list of creative artists including William Hooker, Twyla Tharp and Sonny Sharrock. He has also performed with classic stars like Martha Reeves and with modern divas like Christina Aguilera. As a composer, arranger and performer he has many commercial credits on film and television and has been a featured artist at venues such as The Hennessey Jazz Festival, The Bell Atlantic Jazz Festival and The Vision Festival. Compo’s playing is reminiscent of an era when music was individualistic and horn players prided themselves on having their own sound. The Dream Logic brings back the feeling of some of the early fusion between jazz, R&B and rock with cuts like "Carpenter's Trick", "I'll Be Right Back", and "Spooky Reaction." www.thedreamlogic.com
