Fuzz The World

In the mid 1990s … while bands from the Northwest US graced the cover of Rolling Stone, the fractured remnants of two influential Northeast hard rock bands joined forces, creating a unique new voice. Fuzz The World emerged, with a melodic, intricate mashup, combining myriad influences from Dave Brubeck’s syncopated jazz, to Led Zeppelin’s pounding riffs. Opening for the likes of Weezer, Jeff Buckley and Matthew Sweet, Fuzz The World earned their reputation as a powerful live act (securing the Asbury Music Awards “Best Rock Band” honor in 1996). In spring of 1995, Fuzz The World entered Bare Bones Recording Studio with producer Vic Pepe to record what would become their only official release, “Down”. The record received regional acclaim and airplay, but in the pre-iTunes/Spotify era, without distribution, widespread traction proved elusive. 20 years later, fully remastered with bonus tracks from Jon Bon Jovi’s basement and commemorative packaging “Down” gets another shot. “Still Down After 20 Years” on Main Main Records, releases January 2016. The band will be supporting the release with a string of live shows … and a follow-up is planned. We are Fuzz The World, a fun radical band from New Jersey. Formed in 1993, we played some places, met some faces, wrote some songs!
