THE CLINCHER- (klinch′ər)
1. THE MOST IMPORTANT OR UNEXPECTED PART OF A STORY, SENTENCE, OR VERBAL COMMUNICATION.
2. A POINT, FACT, OR REMARK THAT SETTLES SOMETHING CONCLUSIVELY; A DECISIVE FACTOR.
Hailing from Nebraska, THE CLINCHER, has become a staple in the Omaha metal scene since late 2007. With a discernible musical style of metal mixed with rock and blues, this female fronted band has engineered it’s own unique sound that many cannot place into one specific genre. Although The Clincher has gone through member changes throughout the years, the current lineup is comprised of Lori “Lorcore” Piper on vocals, Tiffany “Thunder Goddess” Pilypaitis on drums, Ben Kadaffi on bass, and their newest edition of Josh Pusher on guitar.
This solid group of musicians can definitely pack a punch when performing live and love to give the audience an unforgettable experience through not only the music, but the overall stage performance. So whether The Clincher is playing with local or national acts, they deliver a live show that exceeds expectations and possess stage presence that demands attention. These attributes have presented opportunities to share the stage with such acts as: Kittie, Otep, Mushroomhead, Soulfly, Avatar, Crowbar, One-Eyed Doll, Open Your Eyes, Shadowside, Through Fire, Eyes Set to Kill, Shattered Sun, Ghoul, Night Demon, Downfall 2012, The ReAktion, Stitched Up Heart, Doll Skin, September Mourning, Incite, Red Fang, and Wykked Wytch to name a few.
Currently, The Clincher, is writing and perfecting new material, working on a new promo campaign, booking a Midwest tour for 2017, and preparing to record their highly anticipated full length album. With horizons expanding, this group is evolving in their music career and are working hard to propel the band into the next level .
