Singer Alan was the vocalist for early 90s Kilkenny metallers 'My Little Funhouse' who toured with Guns'n'Roses . Bassist Paul has worked as a music professional his entire career including stints touring with 80s favourites Madness and That Petrol Emotion . Alan and he had a covers band 'The Bad Babysitters' featuring ex members of 'Something Happens' and Phil Lynott's post 'Lizzy band. Guitarist Alan met Paul in the 80s sharing a love of The Jam and have been occasional collaborators ever since. Drummer Dara played with Nova Static (who played at The Electric Picnic) and is Portlaoise's Ukulele Band. The Fanzines were formed in 2011 with the goal of introducing something slightly different to the pub musical scene - All guitar hits for sure , but nothing that's heard every other night in every other pub .
