Graphic Characters

For something to work well, you first need a solid foundation on which everything can be built. And few bands have set a foundation as strong as Graphic Characters. Founding members Chris and Mark started their first band at the ripe old age of 12 years old. The boys would go on to play together in 3 different bands across the next 13 years. They would play hundreds of local shows and go on to release a number successful local E.Ps, before finally deciding to go out on their own and start Graphic Characters at the beginning of 2014. Graphic Characters hit the ground running signing a record deal with Ten To Two Records (Xavier Rudd, Seth Sentry) for their debut EP ‘The Finest Hours’. The lead single 'Back to Hell' scored JJJ airtime being played on both ‘Home and Hosed’ and ‘2014 with Richard Kingsmill’. The band would then take in their first Australian Tour after local legends Gyroscope personally asked the band to support them on their national tour. It was on this tour that Gyroscope drummer Rob Nassif offered to produce current E.P 'Aeroplane' "When Gyroscope were coming up it was bands like Jebediah who believed in us and took us under their wing. I felt the same when I first saw Graphic Characters play. These guys blew me away live and I just new we could create something special in the studio together" says Nassif. The boys headed into Blackbird Studios at the start of 2015 to record the 'Aeroplane' EP. Capturing the bands massive riffs with sweet vocals was the mission and with Adam Hawkins (Gary Clark Jr, Mastodon) mixing the release the boys have done just that. 'Aeroplane' is set for release at the end of October 2015 with a national tour to follow. Perth based rock band.
