SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE from Kaiserslautern, Germany play fresh and ambitioned Metalcore that is able to impress on every level with its passion as well as its technical ability. While peers in their early twenties are still making their first steps in the process of finding themselves musically, SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE are already a big step beyond that and have once more redefined their sound and direction for “Samsara”. Following these changes, 2014 has been an intensive and very busy year for the band: “A lot of time and energy were invested to wholly mix up the project SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE and grow further, which has even more welded us together as a band.” After going through this process, the band is accordingly self-confident: “With “Samsara” we have left behind our old sound and found ourselves new.” While SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE’s debut, the EP “Diversity”, was still completely produced by their guitarist David Rombach, the band decided after the recordings for their follow-up “Samsara”, to add prominent support in person of Brian Hood (ERRA, SWORN IN, GIDEON an many more), who’s now responsible for the mix and mastering of the new work. While the EP opposes the emotional moments with driving and powerful pieces, SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE succeed in not letting the impressing technical parts sound too technical, so that they are always consistent with the rest of the songs. Because even if the genre, that the band is taking part in, is not famous for it, the ambition of the band is always to built up a harmonic and coherent image. As musical role models did not only serve the household names of the scene like ARCHITECTS, NORTHLANE, AUGUST BURNS RED, but also the albums IRON MAIDEN. It is a declared goal of SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE to convey their passion for music to as many people as possible. For that reason they already shared stages with big names like I DECLARE WAR, BREAKDOWN OF SANITY and GIDEON in the past. In the coming months they will continue to add more impressive names to this list and also work on their own reputation as an outstanding live-act. The cornerstones for a successful future are supposed to be “Samsara” and their just released video for “Leviathan” as well as the signing with Redfield Digital, a sub-division of Redfield Records, who are proud to release the EP on December 1, 2014.
