Filthy Still Biography
Country-punk-bluegrass with a dash of classic rock that'll leave you feeling like you've danced a jig, reveled into that good night, and been knocked in the head with a hammer--that's Filthy Still. With two albums under their belt ('All Bottled Up' & 'The Last Six Feet') and their third soon to be released ('Dirty and Low'), they've been touring hard and nearly non-stop since coming together in June, 2010, in Providence, Rhode Island. Filthy Still was formed in the historic Federal Hill neighborhood and the original band members were Jesse Roderick (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), Matt Olson (vocals, electric guitar, banjo, dobro, mandolin), Jeremy Garland (drums), and Dylan "Sleazy D" Wolk (washboard, back-up screams), who has since left this mortal coil, and is sorely missed. In addition to Roderick, Olson and Garland, the band grew this year to include Matthew "Mule" McKinley on upright bass. Matthew also has a solo blues act and often opens shows for Filthy Still. His bourbon and sex fueled brand of dirty blues provides an excellent contrast to Filthy Still's punk americana sound. As for the original three members, Roderick beats you over the head with aggression and vocals that come from deep down; Olson plays multiple instruments with precision and speed, plus has a unique, high-toned singing voice that compliments Roderick's throaty delivery; and Garland keeps’em all together with his percussion work that's nice, steady and singed with punk rock grit and grime. please send booking requests to: FilthyStillSucks@Gmail.com we play shows all over the world
