Gene Gregory Biography

When listening to the music of Nashville recording artist, Gene Gregory, one can easily realize and hear the various styles and genres that he has played or dabbled in, including Americana, Country and Rock n’ Roll. This is the Gene Gregory that we know today, a performer who’s music and lyrics are inspired by artists such as Neil Young, Eddie Vedder and Jason Isbell to name just a few. Raised on the blue crabs of Maryland and now sharing time in North Carolina, the lyrical content of Gene’s music has been described as soulful and powerful. Couple that with his dynamic, percussive power and command of the guitar and he is unstoppable. Gene has won awards for his musical talent, having received his first award during his tentative years in high school as the "Most Versatile Musician". Gene has toured, playing various venues throughout the country and eventually found himself in Nashville recording "Face Of A Clown" & "This Town" with Art Ward at Nightingale Studios. Currently, Gene plays solo, showcasing his original music and also covering a song list of over 250 familiar songs that he spins his own take on. Gene is also one half of the Americana duo , Stoney Creek. See…www.stoneycreekmusicnc.com. He has opened for Colin Hay of Men At Work and many others and has also headlined his share of shows.
