Guns & Moonshine Biography

Guns & Moonshine is a high energy group that was formed as a result of a last minute booking error... And as Bands go these Musicians have the ability, talent and knowledge to sound great as a unit. They have history together that reaches back into the late nineties when they were known as Area 51. From Little Rock Arkansas, Ben Thompson on Vocals is a Star child of Rock and Roll, Growing up on the greats of the era such as: Hagar, Rose, Plant and Roth. He is a very seasoned and smooth performer with great integrity and sex appeal, constantly making eye contact with the audience and keeping them involved encouraging them to sing along, drink, and dance the night away. Tommy Roeck is a self - professed lunatic on guitar and vocals and a great showman. His playing is solid and you will be impressed with his skill and manipulation of his instrument. With much experience under his belt from Detroit to Hollywood over the last 30 years of playing, he pushes it to the limit, and energizes the show. Steve Baker is a Hot Springs transplant who has the sparkle and intensity to wow an audience. With many band and solo credits such as but not limited to; The Reign, Hooker Red, etc., & has worked as a studio bassist for years, his casual, powerful Bass playing style is what keeps the blood flowing right off the stage and into the hearts of the fans. Hailing from just south of New England (Maryland to be exact) he is a bass playing fool and performs regularly with many top notch players around the area. With much integrity and showmanship, he is a powerful asset to the lineup. Jay Clinton is a solid backbone type drummer who's musical roots run deep into the rock culture of today. His smooth and flowing rhythms will make you want to groove and dance. His influences are mainly Pert, Aldridge and John Bonham, and if you listen to him, you can hear these styles emerge from his wonderful canvass of dynamics & beats. As well as drums, he plays congas, guitar keys, and sings great backups. These guys are 5 Star Performers and musicians and will rock your socks off! Performing covers from the 70’s to the present with great intensity, and refer to their show as "Rock of Ages" playing most of the greatest songs from the early & current genres of rock. They have enough material to play virtually 3 to 4 nights worth of engagements at the same venue without repeating anything. They do try to do requests as best they can with good success and crowd reactions. With killer equipment and a professional attitude, they will surely be an asset to your venue or event and are always booked for return dates once they do one show anywhere.
